Earlier today, Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink stated Nottingham Forest aren’t willing to give up in their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangaré.

This is backed up by De Telegraaf, who claim the Tricky Trees wanted to make a last attempt to land the midfielder by paying his release clause.

Elfrink again took to Twitter to state the ‘miracle may seem to be happening’ as the 25-year-old is now close to making a switch to Nottingham Forest.

In another tweet, the ED journalist further states Steve Cooper’s side have offered €35m including bonuses and the Eredivisie club have almost agreed to the conditions of the deal.

According to Elfrink, the Ivory Coast international will ‘fly this afternoon’ when both clubs sort out the last details of the operation.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna also took to Twitter to explain that Nottingham Forest and the Dutch club are now close to reaching an agreement for Sangaré’s transfer. He further adds the player has ‘already said yes’ to the Premier League side.

With all parties in favour of a transfer, the deal is expected to go through shortly.
