When the Italian press started reporting Milan’s interest in taking Ivan Gazidis from Arsenal, it seemed like it was an easy job to do. But weeks have passed, and the updates show that the Rossoneri will have to work hard to convince the director.

Website Calcio Mercato brings a story today saying that the Italian side currently have two targets to be their CEO: Gazidis from the Gunners and Umberto Gandini from Roma.

Regarding the Arsenal official, the outlet claims that Milan have already made contact with him, and offered a salary of €4m per year.

Gazidis is said to be the Italian side’s favourite option. The problem is that he hasn’t given a final response yet. Especially because Arsenal are not very keen on letting him go from the club.

Calcio Mercato claims that his job at Milan would be more about the commercial staff. Meanwhile, Leonardo would take care of the market, and Maldini would be a technical director, being the closest man to the team and the manager.

While Gazidis doesn’t give a yes or no, Gandini remains on stand-by.
