Back on Thursday, we brought reports from the Portuguese press which sounded pretty sure that Filip Krovinovic would be moving to England.
Newspaper A Bola claimed that although he was close to being loaned by Benfica to Vitória Guimarães, the fact that English sides joined the race would change things completely.
A Bola said that Norwich City were the strongest contender to sign him, but other English sides were interested as well. And it turns out that today, it’s West Brom who are pointed out as a likely destination.
The very same A Bola says the two English clubs are competing for him, and a one-year loan is the predicted scenario. It’s claimed he could sign for either one of them in the ‘next few hours’.
But newspaper Record favours the Baggies. They actually ignore Norwich City, saying it’s West Brom and Vitória Guimarães who compete for the player. Then they add that Krovinovic’s relationship with Slaven Bilic ‘could be decisive’.
It’s claimed that the ‘objective’ is for his future to be sorted before Sunday, so this isn’t a story which should drag on for much longer.
