Portuguese newspapers always report how Portuguese players are doing out of the country, including whey they’re involved in some transfer rumours.

The local press normally don’t have many exclusives when these stories don’t involve Portuguese clubs, but today, outlet Record brings their own take on Ricardo Pereira potentially moving from Leicester City.

They first take claims from The Sun which said that Juventus would be planning to sign Ricardo as a replacement for João Cancelo, who should be leaving for Manchester City.

But according to Record, this plan hasn’t been put into action yet. Because neither Leicester City or Ricardo Pereira have been contacted by the Old Lady so far.

Record acknowledges that a move to Juventus would favour Ricardo Pereira’s chances with the national team, since he would be playing for a bigger club who are always featuring in the Champions League.

However, they also bring quotes from the player recently admitting he’s happy at the Foxes, and should have no hurry to leave the club.
