Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza has told the Turkish club if they don’t accept West Bromwich Albion’s offer then at least give him a contract extension.
The Brazilian has in recent weeks been linked with a move to West Brom, after the Premier League side failed in their attempts to bring him to the Hawthorns in the last window.
Mynet Spor have reported on alleged comments De Souza made to the Fenerbahce board, after claims he’s given them an ultimatum over a move to West Brom: “If you do not accept the offer of West Bromwich then extend the contract.”
Last week we covered reports from Turkey that De Souza travelled to England after being given time off to negotiate a transfer to West Brom.
A transfer fee was agreed with Fenerbahce for De Souza last summer, but due to PSG’s Grzegorz Krychowiak joining the Premier League side on loan, De Souza’s move never materialised.
The player is contracted to Fenerbahce until June 2019.
