With the return legs of the Champions League semi-finals just around the corner and this weekend’s games now out of the way, the Italian press are starting to get a better idea of the team Eusebio di Francesco will put out against Liverpool on Wednesday.

As has been reported previously, and in an unsurprising turn of events, the Italian will not be playing three at the back to try and counter Jürgen Klopp’s attacking trio again, but revert to four at the back, playing a 4-3-3.

Rested on Saturday, Alessandro Florenzi will play down the right of the defence, with Aleksandr Kolarov on the left, while Kostas Manolas and Federico Fazio will pair up at the heart.

The midfield is where one of the biggest changes will come, as Il Tempo on Monday claim that, following his injury at the weekend, Kevin Strootman most likely will not feature, with Lorenzo Pellegrini taking over his duties.

The 21-year-old is expected to play alongside Radja Nainggolan and veteran Daniele De Rossi, while Patrik Schick and Edin Dzeko will be helped by either Stephan El Shaarawy or Cengiz Under.

As for Diego Perotti, who played a vital role in Roma scoring two goals late on at Anfield, the Argentinian is expected to stay on the bench, most likely to be used once again as an impact sub alongside Grégoire Defrel.
