Valencia newspaper Super Deporte are paying increasing attention to Fran Villabla’s situation, as it seems are the Spanish club themselves.
Both the player’s representatives and the club are said to have agreed to a meeting to talk about extending the footballer’s contract, which currently runs out in June 2018.
Several teams have expressed their interest in the player, but only one ‘formally’, and that’s Manchester United. The Premier League club have asked about conditions of a transfer, but it’s not something Valencia would be keen about.
Speaking to Sport Witness earlier this week, the player’s agent Vicente Forés said Manchester United are in early talks for the midfielder, although Valencia will do what they can to keep him.
Asked if there were contacts with him or with the Spanish club for the transfer, the representative told us: “With me. Just a contact to know his situation. They’re already aware.”
“I don’t know about Valencia. But I reckon they will make it hard,” said Forés.
It sounds very much like Valencia have already begun their quest to make a Manchester United move difficult.
