Isco to Tottenham won’t go away. What started toward the end of the transfer window, and in all honesty seemed like the usual guff, has clung on and is refusing to get in the transfer skip.

After Spanish newspaper AS raised the possibility again on Thursday, Marca do the same on Friday. The difference is that instead of mentioning several possible destinations for Isco, AS picked six, Marca have concentrated on Tottenham Hotspur alone.

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be ‘loco’ for the signing and eager to see Spurs get a player who would represent a ‘jump in quality’. A possible January move is brought up, but, if there’s any truth in all of it, it could be tricky for Tottenham.

However, Marca point out that Levy has had his ups and downs with Real Madrid, and after the Tottenham transfer guru talked tough on Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, Madrid are going to do the same for Isco.

The situations are very different indeed, and Levy should be able to sail through the stormy waters.

As far as Isco is concerned, his ideal scenario would be to succeed where he is. If he can’t do that, Marca reckon Isco would have no problem leaving the Bernabeu for a new adventure elsewhere.
