Manchester United are keeping tabs on Neymar, the French media says.

The Red Devils’ interest is revealed by Foot Mercato, who say Erik ten Hag’s side have been watching his situation for ‘several months’.

The outlet claims that Paris Saint Germain ‘would like to part ways’ with the Brazilian, especially because of his huge salary. And while few clubs in the world could pay him that much, Manchester United are ‘keeping an eye’ on things.

Foot Mercato say the Red Devils are still to make a ‘concrete approach’ but already ‘took information’ on the 31-year-old at the start of the year.

It’s added that sources close to Manchester United expect the arrival of ‘several big stars’ in case the club are purchased by Qatari investors. And in Neymar’s case, his arrival could lead to new terms of sponsorship and merchandising.

The Brazilian, however, reportedly doesn’t want to leave PSG. So besides a strong offer to the French club, the Red Devils would need to convince the player as well.

Following ankle surgery, Neymar is now sidelined for the rest of the season. He had 18 goals and 17 assists in 29 appearances in 2022/23.
