Every summer, somewhere, there will be a rumour about Manchester United being interested in Adrien Rabiot in some shape or form.
He came very close last summer, only for the Red Devils to deem his wage demands at the time to be too excessive, forcing them to pull the plug on that particular deal.
However, that doesn’t mean Manchester United have forgotten about him, according to Calciomercato.it, as he remains a target for them, especially as he will be approachable once again in January after only agreeing a one-year extension at Juventus last summer.
The 28-year-old is happy in Italy, but has never hidden his desire to one day play in the Premier League, where a number of clubs would likely be willing to employ him.
As things stand, there is ‘no news’ about him putting pen to paper on a new deal in Turin, meaning that there is an opportunity for interested parties, such as Manchester United.
The Old Trafford side are ‘always on his trail’, but the idea of him being available on a free transfer means he is ‘attractive to many top-ranking teams across the Channel’.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens down the line, but, for the time being, his main focus will be the big derby against Inter Milan on Sunday.
