Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick, according to claims from the Brazilian media.

Journalist Caio Carrieri writes that the Red Devils have ‘intensified observation’ of the 16-year-old, who’s recently been promoted to the Verdão’s first team.

The report claims Manchester United have told their scout in Brazil to watch as many Palmeiras games as they can, and ‘evaluate’ Endrick’s development. It’s said this official already followed the player’s debut earlier this month.

Since the teenager is still gaining experience in the first team, the Red Devils know he won’t get many minutes at this time. Still, they want the emissary to watch him every possible time.

Endrick became a star playing for Palmeiras’ youth rankings, always standing out, even when facing much older players. That aroused the interest from several clubs, with the player linked to many European giants since the start of the year.

With him now being tested in the first team, that will certainly define how much those clubs will be prepared to pay for him. Even though he’s only allowed to leave Brazil at 18, it’d be no surprise to see someone signing him before that, and that’s why it makes sense for Manchester United to be attentive.
