Manchester United have set their sights on the Bordeaux defender Pablo, according to an exclusive report from Fox Sports Brasil on Tuesday.
The outlet claims that the 27-year-old has been approached by several Premier League clubs, and among them there’s José Mourinho’s side.
Fox Sports claims that the Brazilian doesn’t have a release clause at the French side, and that’s why only European sides with ‘big financial power’ would be able to take him from Bordeaux.
Manchester United have reportedly ‘looked for information’ in the past week, and the player is now on ‘José Mourinho’s radar’. That contact has been initiated would show a reasonable level of interest in a deal.
Pablo is 27 years old, and isn’t exactly famous in Europe. He left Brazil in a €2m move from Ponte Preta to Bordeaux in the summer of 2015.
He’s spent the entire year of 2017 on loan at Corinthians, where he won the Brazilian League, making a defensive partnership with Fabián Balbuena, who is currently at West Ham United.
He returned to Bordeaux in January 2018, and has been a regular starter at the French side this season. This week France Football had a snippet on him in their transfer section, saying he almost moved to to Krasnodar in the summer for €12m.
Pablo made his debut for Brazil in October against Saudi Arabia, and played again in November against Cameroon.
