Late on Tuesday, we covered an article from France claiming the City Football Group had made an offer for Ilyes Benlebsir.

The young midfielder, currently at Le Havre in France, was being promised the opportunity of joining Manchester City’s U23s, where he could then continue his development.

Already capped at U17 level, Benlebsir is one of the more promising players in his age group, which is why the Etihad consortium have turned their attention to him, but the numbers of their offer had yet to filter through.

This, however, has been rectified by RMC Sport, with their journalist Loïc Tanzi revealing the amount, which stands at €700k + a percentage on any future sale.

What that percentage is isn’t said, but it’s stated the three parties ‘are in talks’, while a Spanish side has also joined the mix, trying to disrupt Manchester City’s plans.

We’ll have to wait and see who comes out as winner, but with the recent acquisition of Troyes, that could end up being the next step in Benlebsir’s career once he’s moved to England.

That, followed by a chance to shine at Manchester City proper in the future?
