There are two reasons Gabriel Jesus isn’t featuring for Brazil this international break.
Firstly, because he’s been suspended after raging against a referee decision in the Copa America. Secondly because he suffered hamstring injury and has missed Manchester City’s latest games.
Still, the striker used the break to return to Brazil, and has now been spotted training at his former club Palmeiras.
ESPN Brasil reports he asked the Brazilian side to use their training centre, and was authorised to do it.
Although there will be probably some social media posts from Palmeiras later today, Gabriel Jesus has been training with a Manchester City training kit.
The local press has been pretty busy today.
Palmeiras sacked Luís Felipe Scolari this week, and are today presenting Mano Menezes as replacement. Since the fans didn’t like the choice, there have been protests outside the training centre, so Gabriel Jesus’ presence isn’t the biggest news of the day.
