Portimonense have found an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Marlos Moreno, according to the Portuguese media today.
Newspaper Record says the deal is ‘closed’, and the Colombian forward will be loaned to the Liga NOS side until the end of the coming season.
Portimonense’s interest in Marlos Moreno was first reported just a couple of days ago, so it seems things were agreed pretty quickly.
The Portuguese press had claimed Portimonense believe Moreno can fit in well with them, because compatriot Jackson Martinez is also in the squad, and could help him with his adaptation.
Bought by Manchester City from Atletico Nacional back in 2016, the Colombian signed a five-year deal with the Premier League side, tying him to the club until 2021.
Moreno never played for Pep Guardiola’s side, having loan spells at Deportivo La Coruña, Girona, Flamengo and Santos Laguna.
None of them were very successful and the 22 year old is yet to turn his talent into consistent performances.
