Sporting are eyeing up a move for Manchester City youngster Pedro Porro this summer.
That’s according to A Bola, who say that the right-back is one of the players City have put on their loan list.
20-year-old Porro is currently spending the season on loan at Real Valladolid, having completed a £10.8m deal from Girona last summer.
He has largely impressed with the Spanish club, making 15 appearances in all competitions to date.
That has caught the attention of Sporting, who are eyeing up the chance to take him on loan themselves next season.
Their priority is to sign experienced players, something coach Rúben Amorim has made clear after spending time promoting youngsters to the first team.
However, a ‘good market opportunity’ will always be analysed by the club and the opportunity to sign Porro is considered as such.
Signing him, though, will be dependant on the future of the club’s current right-backs Stefan Ristovski and Valentin Rosier. Should one of them leave, they will make their move for Porro.
Any deal should be relatively easy to complete too, with Sporting having established a ‘partnership agreement’ with Manchester City to secure players such as Porro.
