Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim has spoken to the press after his side’s derby win against Besiktas yesterday.

The 64 year old explained his team selection and why he left Stoke City loanee Badou Ndiaye out of his match-day squad.

Terim also confirmed he would like to continue with the player next season, as covered by Sporx: “Ndiaye was in England for personal reasons. We still count on him for the remaining parts of the season. And even next season, I can say. We will talk to him, we will evaluate the situation and hopefully, we can continue together.”

With Stoke City set for a second season in the Championship it’s unlikely Ndiaye will return to the Potters this summer. Ndiaye’s agent recently went on record to say his client doesn’t want to play in the English second tier and is open to remaining with Galatasaray beyond this campaign.

However, it’s unlikely Stoke City will loan out the central midfielder and they will be looking for a permanent move for him this summer.

There have been recent claims Stoke City are ready to offload the Senegal international, with reports they will look to sell him to Chinese or Middle Eastern clubs during the next transfer window.
