Brentford forward Kevin Schade ‘should be’ a part of Germany’s squad announced today, with Hansi Flick ‘impressed’ by his development.

That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenburg, who says the forward’s performances since joining Brentford in the January transfer window have not gone unnoticed.

Schade joined Brentford on loan from SC Freiburg at the beginning of the January transfer window, with the move expected to be turned into a permanent one for €25m in the summer.

He’s been a regular for Thomas Frank’s side since, making eight appearances in all competitions and providing one assist.

He’s yet to establish as a firm, first-team star but that appears to be a case of when not if, with fans and pundits alike impressed by what they have seen so far.

That also appears to be the case with the German national set up, with Plettenburg reporting he is set to earn his first national call-up today.

According to his information, Germany coach Hansi Flick is impressed by his ‘development’ at Brentford so far and sees him as a ‘top talent with speed’.

The belief is that the 21-year-old is ‘getting better and better’ and it seems he now wants a closer look at him as he refreshes his Germany squad moving forwards.
