Fanatik claim Fenerbahçe manager Aykut Kocaman has given the ‘green light’ for the Turkish club to sign Everton forward Oumar Niasse.

It’s been well documented in the Turkish press Fenerbahçe’s first choice is Porto’s Vincent Aboubakar, following his impressive loan spell at Besiktas last season.

However, the Yellow Canaries have been unable to convince Porto over the transfer of the Cameroon international, and subsequently Kocaman has turned his attentions to Everton’s Niasse.

Yesterday, we covered reports from Turkey which said Niasse has told close friends he would love a return to Turkey, following Fenerbahçe’s interest emerging.

The Turkish giants have been linked with the Everton player in the past week, and given his relationship with Ronald Koeman, it’s unlikely the Dutchman would stand in his way.

The forward has yet to play under the Everton boss, and Niasse was informed last season he could find a new club.

Niasse spent the second half of the season on loan at Hull City, and scored 4 Premier League goals in 17 appearances for Marco Silva’s side.

The 27 year old played for Akhisar Belediyespor during 2013/14 season and his performances in Turkey earned him a move to Lokomotiv Moscow, before he eventually headed to Everton.
