Douglas Costa, who the Italian media insist is of interest to Manchester United, could be leaving Juventus in the next summer window, according to Calcio Mercato today.

The outlet says that although the Old Lady said no to all the offers they had for him in 2018, things could change very soon.

The reason for Costa potentially leaving is that even though he was considered to be the third man in Juve’s attack along with Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, he’s still fighting to conquer that spot.

Juventus are being patient and will still give him until the end of the season to prove himself, but they’re already considering the chance of a sale in the summer market.

Calcio Mercato writes that the Old Lady rejected an offer of over €80m from Manchester City last summer, and the player’s price will continue to be high in case another club comes for him.

The website claims that Manchester United are ‘speaking seriously’ and made contact this month, but Juve are delaying a decision for the next summer.

Again, this all takes some believing.
