Even with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, it’s no secret that Manchester United could use another central midfielder.
With the club trying to regain its foothold near the top of the Premier League, quality will need to be added to the squad’s depth, and Le10 Sport in France claim the Red Devils have turned their attention to the Bundesliga.
The man in question is Corentin Tolisso, who isn’t a prime candidate for Hansi Flick’s plans at Bayern Munich, meaning a deal away from the Bavarian side could be on the cards this summer.
The French website confirm previous information reported about United’s interest, and add their own, claiming the Premier League club have ‘sent a mandate’ to ‘allow the dossier to go ahead’.
The lucky man put in charge of this is said to be Antero Henrique, who apparently held a ‘major role’ in the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, and he’s already been on the case ‘for a few weeks’, getting in touch with ‘the player and his entourage’.
Manchester United aren’t the only ones with an interest in Tolisso, however, as Arsenal are said to be also keen, alongside other European sides, such as Juventus and Naples in Italy and Atlético Madrid in Spain.
As for the player, what’s his preference? Le10 Sport explain the prospect of moving to Old Trafford ‘doesn’t leave him indifferent’.
