Despite the big news that Christian Eriksen is ready to accept a move to Manchester United, it doesn’t seem like the official announcement is around the corner.

That comes courtesy of Ekstrabladet in his home country, who corroborate everything that has been said in England, before adding information of their own.

They explain that ‘at the time of writing, the contract’s preparation is in full swing’, with the medical to happen as soon as those are done.

However, ‘the parties are expected to give themselves plenty of time in the coming days’ to get that all sorted, and ‘neither Manchester United nor Christian Eriksen’s camp are in a hurry to get all the formalities in order’ before Friday.

Why Friday? Because that’s when the Red Devils ‘travel to Thailand’ for their training camp and pre-season.

In fact, should the paperwork and the medical checks not be done in time, the Denmark International ‘can be flown to the training camp’ ahead of their first game of their preparation, which will be against Liverpool in Bangkok on July 12th.
