Manchester United are eighth in the table with 35 points, and are six points behind fourth placed Chelsea.
The Red Devils have offloaded a lot of players since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge at Old Trafford, but they have failed to bring in adequate replacements, leaving the Norwegian with limited options in midfield and attack.
Even though reports in England have repeatedly stressed that Solskjaer’s position at the club is safe, there’s a possibility he could be shown the exit door after this season.
This is according to Le10 Sport and they add ‘disappointing results’ could lead to the former Cardiff City manager’s departure in the summer. It’s then claimed Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel could be a candidate to succeed Solskjaer.
Le10 states that in England, ‘it is Manchester United who appreciate more and more his [Tuchel’s] profile’.
Bayern Munich are interested in Tuchel, according to the claims, and contacts have already taken place between two parties. Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has presented the Bavarian club’s project to him.
Barcelona also have an eye on Tuchel and several officials at the club, including president Josep Maria Bartomeu likes him very much.
