The Italian media has positioned Nottingham Forest as one of the main candidates to bring Douglas Luiz back to England.
The midfielder expressed his frustration regarding his time at Juventus on Instagram some hours ago and this has caused further speculation about his future, which seems to be away from Juventus.
TuttoJuve’s Mirko di Natale has reported that in the January transfer window, only Nottingham Forest came forward for the Brazilian.
Back then, Douglas Luiz had no intention of leaving unless clubs like Manchester United or Manchester City made an attempt. That didn’t happen and since the winter window closed, the 26-year-old has played only three league games for the Bianconeri.
Things can change now as Douglas Luiz would be more open to an exit. No club has met Juve’s asking price of €50m and it remains to be seen if someone offers around €40m, which would likely be acceptable.
Nottingham Forest have been mentioned as a potential suitor in the last few days and Di Natale states that in the summer the Tricky Trees can potentially land their target even if they attempt a loan or swap.
