We carried a report from Gazzetta dello Sport on August 17th, who claimed Liverpool’s Divock Origi was offered to Sampdoria.

Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws now claims the English club are happy to back interest up because they want to see the back of the 23 year old, and now there’s claims of interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Jurgen Klopp’s side would prefer to ‘get rid’ of him, but the transfer to Signal Iduna Park is ‘complicated’.

That is because the Merseyside club are demanding €30m to sanction to the sale of the former Lille man, but the German side are unwilling to meet the Reds’ asking price and have so for not made an official bid.

HLN also relays what was mentioned by Gazzetta that the attacker was offered to Sampdoria, but they decided against making an approach for him. It’s claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers were prepared to make a €25m bid for Origi a month ago, but that offer never came.

It should be seen if Liverpool would be willing to reduce the asking price so that Dortmund could make an approach for the player.
