In the past couple of months, Liverpool have been repeatedly linked to Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada.

As the 26-year-old’s contract with the Bundesliga side expires this summer, the Reds were said to be in the picture to land him for free.

Now as German journalist Florian Plettenberg shares an update on Kamada’s future, there’s some interesting news for Liverpool.

It’s claimed that the player now ‘officially’ informed Frankfurt bosses that he’s leaving for free this summer, turning down any possibilities of extending his contract.

According to Plettenberg, the talks took place before Easter and the exit is ‘100% decided’.

The German media had already claimed that Kamada isn’t keen on staying in the Bundesliga, as he actually ‘dreams‘ of moving to a new league.

So the entire scenario is starting to look favourable for Liverpool to show up and offer the midfielder a contract, even though it’s obvious there’ll be some competition to land the player for free.

Even though he’s not a striker, Kamada has 13 goals for Frankfurt this season, besides his five assists. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €30m.
