Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries has now ended up in the sights of Leicester City.
Operating as a right wing-back, he has managed two goals and four assists from 27 matches in all competitions this season.
His displays have seen several clubs in England take notice and the Foxes are now added to the list.
That’s according to InterLive.it, who state that Leicester are looking at the 26-year-old for the summer window.
It’s claimed Brendan Rodgers’ side ‘could really have their say’ in the potential deal for the player after this season.
In order to secure the Netherlands international’s services, they could include Timothy Castagne as part of the deal.
Castagne has the experience of playing in Serie A from this time at Atalanta between 2017 and 2020, but the Nerazzurri aren’t in favour of this operation since they don’t intend to carry out ‘mediocre exchanges’ involving the former PSV Eindhoven star.
It’s claimed Inter would prefer to receive only cash for the Dutchman in the next window, and have set a base price of €40m to start an auction for Dumfries.
That means that if Leicester do really want the Netherlands international, they will have to pay up.
