Hamburger Morgenpost have suggested after a dream start for Pierre-Michel Lasogga with Leeds United, the forward has become ‘disillusioned’ with recent results.

The former Germany U21 international signed for the Championship side in the summer on a season long long loan.

Since Lasogga’s move to Leeds United in the last window he’s been followed closely in the German media, and in particular by Hamburger Morgenpost.

The Hamburg newspaper last week reported on Lasogga being named Leeds United’s Player of the Month for September, and they’ve been tracking his performances since his arrival.

The 25 year old made an impressive start to the season with Leeds United, scoring three goals in five games, but Thomas Christiansen’s side have lost their last three league games. This has resulted in Leeds United dropping to 6th in the Championship table, after topping the league just a few weeks ago.

Hamburger Morgenpost state Lasogga’s concern as fact, but it’s possible the German newspaper are trying to stir things.

Since becoming a Hamburg player the attacker has rarely received the benefit of the doubt, with many feeling he doesn’t warrant the salary he earns with the Bundesliga side.

Leeds United fans will be hoping he rediscovers his scoring touch after showing early promise in his first month at the club. Showing the German media that the good start wasn’t an exception, but rather the new rule, will be an extra motivation for Lasogga.
