Leeds United signing happening, offer has been ‘accepted’ says European newspaper

The front page of Thursday’s Przeglad Sportowy has a big transfer story splashed all over it.

Krzysztof Piątek has completed a move from Genoa to AC Milan, the replacement for Gonzalo Higuain who has swapped his loan destination to Chelsea. That will almost certainly now see Alvaro Morata move to Atletico Madrid, also on a temporary deal.

Przeglad Sportowy have a much smaller article on Leeds United signing Mateusz Bogusz, although they present it as just as done.

The young midfielder was linked with a move to Elland Road towards the end of December, at the time it was reported Brighton & Hove Albion had also been following him.

Napoli had taken a previous interest, but their role had been just a watching brief at that stage.

This week brought claims from Poland that the deal is close, and the 17 year old’s club, Ruch Chorzów, publicly confirmed the transfer was a possibility.

Now it’s stated the offer has been ‘accepted’ and the player is considered ‘gone to Leeds’.
