Friday saw claims emerge of Leeds United interest in Manu Koné.
The 19 year old midfielder currently plays for Toulouse in Ligue 2. He’s right footed and can play various roles in the middle of the park.
Last season he made 13 appearances in Ligue 1, as Toulouse were relegated from France’s top division, and missed matches due to an injury early in the campaign and then the cancelation of French football due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Leeds United are the only Premier League named, with several other English clubs also thought to be interested. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have started discussions with the youngster’s entourage, so there’s clearly a serious interest there.
RMC put Koné’s value is put at around €15m. Should Leeds pay such a sum then it would be the biggest transfer fee ever received by a Ligue 2 club.
He’s represented by Classico Sports Agency, who took Christopher Jullien from Toulouse to Celtic last year, and who have good contacts at the French club.
