Leeds United are again interested in Chievo Verona attacker Simone Pepe, according to claims in the Italian media. Only a few days ago we covered reports from Italy that Pepe has yet to sign his contract extension, and subsequently could move this summer.
Juve News have reported this weekend that Massimo Cellino could look to land Pepe during the transfer window, after missing out on the former Juventus winger last summer.
It’s been claimed Leeds United have already made contact with the representatives of Pepe with regards to the Italian moving to England, and talks could begin once the player makes a decision on his future.
Pepe has yet to commit his future to Chievo following the Serie A side’s attempts to get his signature last week. Pepe’s agent is again set to meet with the leaders of Chievo next week to discuss his contract extension, and Leeds United will be keen to know the outcome of these talks.
