There has been a lot of talk surrounding Diego Llorente in the past few weeks, as the Leeds United loanee, currently at AS Roma, has been impressing to the point where he could stay there, according to AS.
The Spaniard was sent to Italy for the rest of the season in January, before Thomas Tuchel was sacked, and while he didn’t enter José Mourinho’s plans immediately, he has played a lot more of late.
In fact, Roma have not conceded a goal in the six games the Leeds man has been on the pitch for, and that’s why he’s expected to be part of the team that plays against Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday.
After all, they included an €18m option to buy in the loan deal, hoping they could make some money from a future transfer, and AS pick up on all this on Thursday.
They explain the Serie A side ‘can be a good destination’ for the Leeds man, and while he needs to get a spot full time in the starting XI, he ‘is on the right track’ to get a permanent move away from Elland Road.
Something to keep in mind ahead of the European clash, as another good performance could further add to the many arguments in favour of that clause being triggered in the coming months.
