Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is ‘unlikely to leave’ for Leeds United if they move to make him Jesse Marsch’s replacement at Elland Road.

That’s according to Voetbal International, relayed by FR-Fans, who say Leeds are yet to have ‘officially applied’ to Feyenoord about their manager.

Leeds are on the hunt for Marsch’s replacement after sacking the American earlier this week following a poor run of form that had left them outside of the relegation zone on just goal difference.

Reports in England have made it clear that a three-man shortlist has been drawn up and Slot, who has Feyenoord at the top of the Eredivisie this season, is on it.

VI say that Leeds have conducted ‘extensive research’ on the Dutch coach and he is on their list of potential options.

However, he is ‘unlikely’ to leave Feyenoord at this point and those in charge at Elland Road are ‘working hard’ on their ‘top candidate’ anyway, which is Rayo Vallecano coach Andoni Iraola.

That is why they are yet to get in contact with Feyenoord over Slot.

That could change if they struggle to get Iraola, of course, but the feeling is that Slot won’t be on his way to Leeds any time soon.
