Earlier on Monday, we covered the breaking news from the Netherlands that Leeds United were closing in quickly on the transfer of Luis Sinisterra.

The Colombian, currently at Feyenoord, is seen as the replacement for Raphinha, who appears to be on his way out from Elland Road, heading for Catalonia.

That’s why Leeds turned their attention to the Eredivisie star, with a fee of between €20-30m touted by De Telegraaf.

Either way, Leeds appeared to be edging very close to completing a deal, with the player said to be in extensive negotiations with the Premier League.

Well, according to César Luis Merlo, the player’s contract at Leeds is ‘already arranged’, meaning that all that’s left is for the two clubs to find an agreement.

The sale would be for ‘close to €25-30m’ for Feyenoord, which falls in line with what 1908.nl also said, that the fee was around €26m with bonuses included.

Algemeen Dagblad, down their end, report the fee will be of €21m up front, with that amount able to ‘rise to €25m because of bonuses’, beating the €18m Feyenoord sold Dirk Kuyt to Liverpool for.

It’s all heating up, it seems.

EDIT: Algemeen Dagblad have since corrected themselves, claiming the fee is €25m up front, and can increase due to bonuses, with the change spotted by FR12.NL.
