The current edition of SportBild has a transfer special, listing 13 Bundesliga players who could be moving in the summer window.
One of those is Philipp Max and the Augsburg left back is said to be of interest to RB Leipzig, Tottenham, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool… and Everton.
Shortly after taking over at Everton, Sam Allardyce made public his desire to strengthen the club’s fullback department, but was left without what he wanted. There were plenty of options for Everton to bring a player in during January, and it’s perhaps a surprise they weren’t able to find someone.
Now eyes turn to the summer, and Everton have been placed in with the big spenders for Philipp Max.
Having already spoken about a desire to play in England, it’d be no surprise if Max moves to the Premier League over the next few windows, but SportBild believe he’ll cost ‘at least €30m’.
Everton would certainly be being ambitious, but there’s no harm in trying.
