Sofyan Amrabat’s impressive performances for Morocco at the World Cup have attracted attention of several clubs, including Liverpool.

On December 7th, Foot Mercato said Jürgen Klopp has met the 26-year-old’s camp to discuss a potential deal. This is relayed in the latest report from the same outlet, which discusses Liverpool’s interest in the star.

Foot Mercato now state the Reds followed Amrabat with great interest in Qatar after their manager made him their ‘priority’ target, along with Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

Having already held talks, it’s claimed Klopp plans to speak to the player’s representatives again.

Amrabat is keen to move from Fiorentina to the Premier League, where along with the Merseyside club, there are other English clubs looking to secure his services. At the moment, the midfielder has a ‘preference’ for Liverpool, but nothing is closed.

Fiorentina are trying to extend the Moroccan’s contract. Meanwhile, they have also ‘not closed’ the door to his sale in January ,and an offer of €40m ‘should be enough’.

Over at Calciomercato, they explain Fiorentina’s goal is to lock Amrabat into a new deal amid interest from Liverpool and others. To do this, they have a meeting scheduled with his agents before the end of this month.
