Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers hasn’t favoured Çağlar Söyüncü when selecting his starting XI this season.

The centre-back has been restricted to 259 minutes of action that came from four games, which includes 79 minutes in the league, out of which only seven of them were from this year.

Lack of game time coupled with his contract situation indicates a move away from Leicester is on the cards in the summer.

The Turkey international has less than six months left on his deal and has been heavily linked to Atlético Madrid.

There have been multiple reports of the defender signing a pre-agreement with the La Liga side but it has not been confirmed so far.

This has seen other clubs like AS Roma enter the picture to sign the 26-year-old for free in the summer.

That’s according to Sport Italia, who explain José Mourinho and co. have taken the player’s name into consideration for the summer.

Roma are looking at potential opportunities in the next window. Söyüncü fits the bill as he’ll be a free agent after this season, but they will face strong competition from Atlético as they are still keen to sign the player.
