Everton striker Cenk Tosun has spoken to Turkish TV channel NTV and confirmed Besiktas have contacted him with regards to a move back to Turkey.
However, the 28-year-old said he wants to continue his career in Europe as he still wants to prove himself at Everton.
“The Besiktas board have contacted me some time ago but I want to continue my career in Europe. I’ve informed them about my intentions. After that, we haven’t had any meetings”, he told NTV.
”I want to play more for Everton. I am working really hard to achieve this. I am very good at training sessions. Hopefully, I will have a chance to play soon. When I play, I will show what I’m capable of.”

The arrival of Moise Kean put Tosun’s future even more in doubt but it seems the 28-year-old wants to be a part of Marco Silva’s team, and feels he can contribute.
A few claims emerged last week of a possible return to another of his former clubs, Eintracht Frankfurt, but those were also quickly pushed to one side.
The forward has struggled since arriving from Besiktas back in January 2018, scoring just nine goals in 43 appearances for the Toffees, but that doesn’t appear to have discouraged him.
However, he has yet to feature under Marco Silva this campaign, featuring on the bench for both Premier League games without coming on.
