According to an exclusive report from Sozcu, Besiktas are interested in signing Watford striker Stefano Okaka before the Turkish transfer window shuts down on 2nd of September.
The Turkish giants are in the market for a striker and they have been linked with moves to Everton duo Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse, but Sozcu said Okaka is their primary target.
The Watford man was linked with a move to Turkey before and Sozcu said Besiktas could turn these rumours into reality by signing him.
After a loan spell at Serie A with Udinese, the 30-year-old has returned to Watford but it seems he’s surplus to requirements under Javi Gracia, so another move away from the club seems very likely at this stage.
Besiktas are in dire need of a goalscorer as their first-choice striker Burak Yilmaz is currently out injured, and the Turkish club have only managed to score two goals since the start of the preseason.
The former Sampdoria man still has two years left on his current Watford contract.
