Galatasaray will attempt to loan Stoke City midfielder Gianelli Imbula when the next window opens, claim Fotomac.

The Turkish giants are looking to rebuild under new coach Igor Tudor, and the Croatian has told the Galatasaray board signing a midfielder is a priority.

Tudor has rarely used Nigel de Jong since being installed as Galatasaray manager, and it’s looking likely the former Manchester City midfielder will leave the club.

The Croatian boss has urged the Galatasaray board to sign Stoke City’s Imbula as De Jong’s replacement, but the Turkish side can only think about a loan deal because they can’t afford his transfer fee.

Fotomac say the French midfielder is open to leaving Stoke City as he wants to play European football, and is frustrated by a lack of minutes from Mark Hughes.

Fotomac claim Tudor’s agent is already talks with Imbula’s representative, and the latter believes this will be a good move for both parties.

Galatasaray will also begin formal talks in the coming weeks with Stoke City with regards to a potential move this summer.
