Fenerbahçe and Dick Advocaat will part ways at the end of the season, and the Turkish giants are already looking for his replacement.

Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yildirim is under serious pressure from a majority of the club’s fans, who want him to resign. The Turkish club’s boss therefore needs to carefully pick his next manager, and Everton’s Ronald Koeman is reported to be a candidate.

SporunDibi.Com explain Fenerbahce are struggling to convince Konyaspor to release their manager Aykut Kocaman, and therefore Koeman has emerged as a plan B. It’s even been suggested Koeman would be open to managing Fenerbahce after just one season with Everton.

These claims do seem bizarre given the Dutchman is continuously being linked with a move to Barcelona. History says Fenerbahçe have brought in high profile managers, with the Turkish club previously being coached by the likes of Joachim Low, Guus Hiddink, Luis Aragones and Zico, but none were in similar circumstances to Koeman at Everton right now.

Fenerbahçe may want Ronald Koeman, why not, but Everton won’t release him and the Dutchman almost certainly wouldn’t be tempted by the Turkish club. They’re in for a big shock if they believe otherwise.
