It’s now been a while since Belgian youngster Jeremy Doku was first linked to Liverpool.

In an interview last year, his mother revealed that the Reds were interested in signing him from Anderlecht, and he even visited the Premier League side’s facilities, where he was received by Jurgen Klopp.

Doku ended up staying in Belgium at the time, although he soon moved to French side Rennes, where he has since been linked to Liverpool again.

A couple of months ago, it was claimed that the Anfield Road side were the ‘best placed’ to sign him at the end of the season, and as Doku is featured today in an interview with RTBF, he spoke about some of the dreams he has for his career, and claimed that playing in the Premier League is one of them.

“I want to do everything to become one of the best players in the world, at one of the biggest clubs in the world, in the English Premier League if possible. And I am working hard for that,” Doku told RTBF.

Struggling a little with injuries this season, the winger has one goal in eight appearances for Rennes.

However, his potential is acknowledged by Transfermarkt, who value him at €26m, making it clear he wouldn’t be a cheap signing for Liverpool, with the Ligue 1 side spending close to £24m on him back in October 2020.
