Ever since it was announced that Tottenham were cutting their ties with Antonio Conte, numerous names have been linked with the Premier League job.

One of the first was Julian Nagelsmann, who was recently sacked by Bayern Munich and replaced by Thomas Tuchel, but others have appeared since.

Among those is Luis Enrique, without a job after he moved away from the Spain national team job, and it appears he wants to work in England, as he explained to Cadena SER, relayed by Radio Marca.

Whether he ends up at Tottenham remains to be seen, but the former Barcelona manager was very clear about his ambitions, and they involved the Premier League.

He said: “I would like to go to England to work. I follow English football a lot, more than Spanish. It’s a very interesting league, I won’t hide it, I would like to work there. I won’t go to any team in the Premier League.”

That’s as clear a message as any, but that last part suggests the manager will be rather picky with his offers.

We’ll therefore have to see if Tottenham meet his requirements, because if they don’t give him what he wants, he won’t go there.
