Anderlecht goalkeeper Hendrik van Crombrugge has admitted he would be open to a move to Nottingham Forest this summer, if they make a proposal again.

The 30-year-old has been speaking to Radio Radzinski, relayed by Voetbal 24, about his disappointment at the Belgian club this season.

He started the campaign as their number one and maintained that all the way until the middle of November and the 2-0 defeat to KRC Genk.

He missed the next game against RSC Charleroi through illness but has since spent the rest of the season sat on the bench, with Anderlecht preferring to give highly rated Bart Verbruggen the number one spot.

That led to the possibility of Van Crombrugge leaving in the January transfer window, when Nottingham Forest made a move before signing Keylor Navas on loan from Paris Saint Germain.

The failure to move to England, according to Voetbal 24, was partly down to the goalkeeper, who was reluctant to leave for England and force his family into a big move midway through the season.

It seems his stance has now changed, though, and he’s admitted he could join Steve Cooper’s squad if given the opportunity for a second time.

“If you are treated like that… Then it strikes deep wounds. But should Nottingham come back at the end of the season, I would certainly think about it,” he said.
