Manager Julen Lopetegui has refused to comment on a possible move to Wolverhampton Wanderers following his sacking at Sevilla.
The Spanish boss was removed from his position by the Spanish club last night, with Jorge Sampaoli already in as his replacement.
Numerous reports have indicated that he will not be out of work for long, though, with Wolves thought to be keen on his signature.
They are on the hunt for a replacement for Bruno Lage after sacking him last weekend following a poor start to the season in which Wolves have managed just one win and sit in the bottom three of the Premier League.
Lopetegui was quickly instilled as the favourite and the belief he will rock up at Molineux has only grown now that he has been sacked by Sevilla.
Those rumours are only likely to increase over the next few days but when asked about them during a press conference on Thursday morning following his sacking, he had nothing to say on the matter.
“In the short term what I will do is go to see my father. I can’t say much more in that respect,” La Colina de Nervion report him saying when asked about the Wolves job.
“I’m not a resentful person, and besides, my only feeling right now is one of gratitude,” he added.
“I don’t think it’s time to dwell on what has happened in the last few days. I received the notification that I am no longer coach of Sevilla yesterday, after the game.
“You never know what life is going to throw at us. I don’t know if our paths will meet again”.
