Albania manager Edoardo Reja has advised Napoli against making a move for Chelsea forward Armando Broja.

Broja returned to Stamford Bridge this summer from a successful loan spell at Southampton last season, where he scored nine goals and registered one assist in 38 games.

It had been anticipated that he would be moved on at some point, with initial reports stating that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was not a fan.

He was heavily linked with a move to Italy, where Napoli were named as suitors and said to be ready to spend €20m to secure his signature.

That never happened but here is a belief their interest has not gone away, with the Italian side ready to make another move in January to continue bolstering their squad.

His manager with the Albania national team, Edoardo Reja, is having none of that, though, and believes the Serie A leaders would be wise to avoid targeting the Chelsea man.

“Damn: Cristiano Giuntoli hasn’t made a wrong purchase,” Area Napoli report him saying.

“The work of the sporting director is something exceptional. It is not easy to bring so many important players to a team like Napoli. He never makes mistakes.

“I don’t see him (Broja) at Napoli, he’s too individualistic, he seems to me like Osimhen. Now instead with Raspadori I believe that Spalletti has found the ideal set-up.”
