January may be coming to an end, but there’s still plenty of time left for Marco Silva to get a couple of more signings from Portugal for Hull City.
This time it’s Marvin Zeegelaar who’s linked. According to Monday’s edition of Record, the manager decided to go for the 26-year-old and will offer €4m for the transfer.
As Sporting are not counting on the player for the rest of the season, the club wouldn’t make it difficult to let him go.
The problem is that Zeegelaar has already rejected an offer from Norwich City this month.
The English club had reportedly reached an agreement with Sporting in a deal of €3.5m plus €1.5m in bonuses, but the player didn’t want the move because of what he considered the Norwich’s low ambitions to reach the Premier League again.
Record claims that Zeegelaar wouldn’t rule out the chance to join Hull City, but the move still isn’t a certain thing due to the other options he has on the table.
