On Tuesday we covered claims Watford could be in the process of signing Aleix Vidal from Barcelona.
Aleix has been on the verge of a Barcelona exit all January, with former club Sevilla seeming the likeliest option.
However, Sevilla always look for too favourable conditions on loan deals and Barca couldn’t find an agreement, leaving Aleix open to other offers.
The line of communication was clearly already open between the two clubs, and Deulofeu and Aleix have been good friends since their time at Sevilla together.
On Wednesday Mundo Deportivo say Aleix is minded to stay at Barcelona for the rest of the season, unless he gets a really tempting offer at some point today.
