Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to settle for a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final on Thursday.

Hugo Ekitiké’s sixth minute goal helped the Bundesliga club took an early lead in London. Tottenham’s Pedro Porro scored his third goal of the season to cancel the 22-year-old’s opening goal.

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison assisted the 25-year-old right-back’s equaliser in the 26th minute.

Bild have player ratings after Eintracht Frankfurt’s draw against Spurs in the English capital. They use German school grading system. Let us explain.

1 means very good, 2 is good, 3 is average, 4 is passable but still lacking, 5 is deficient and 6 is insufficient. A 6 is the lowest possible grade and, taking it back to the school grades, it means that not only were things not up to standard, but there was even a failure to understand the basics.

Porro got 2, along with Son Heung-min, and they were the only two Tottenham players to receive a ‘good’ rating.

The German newspaper rated Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero and Brennan Johnson 4. The rest of Tottenham’s playing XI got 3, meaning they were all ‘average’ yesterday.

The return leg will take place in Germany next Thursday.
