Gerard Deulofeu potentially returning to AC Milan started in the Italian media towards the end of last week and quickly grew from there.

By Sunday, Gazzetta dello Sport were saying the Spaniard was ready to take a plane and sign for the Serie A club if he’d be allowed. The same newspaper had earlier made it clear the Pozzo family won’t consider a loan.

On Monday morning, Calciomercato report everyone at Milan is agreed that signing the player would be a good idea, there’s unison behind the transfer plan. Deulofeu is again presented as being keen on the move himself, but it’s explained he doesn’t want to fall out with Watford.

The footballer is grateful for the faith shown in signing him permanently from Barcelona, so won’t push too hard for a move.

Calciomercato reiterate that Watford don’t want a loan and would rather keep the player. The potential deal is valued at €30m.

There’s a suggestion Milan could try and get a loan with clauses which would see it made permanent.
